According to Us Weekly ,Variety and a few other sources, Taylor is going to be at Sunday’s VMAs to usher in a new era. My memories of the 1989 era are fun,bright and lively but if the videos she’s been posting all over social media with the snake are any indication(really smart marketing move after the Kim and Kanye drama last year) Taylor is going darker and moodier than ever.
Sticking with the snake theme and a moody black, dark green and red palette like on the video, I’d love to see Taylor rock this Gucci Resort 2018 dress inspired by these two looks. It’s definitely an overload of print and embellishment, but I think that the decorative spirit can translate on the red carpet without looking like too much of a look because of the silhouette. In its essence it’s one of Taylor’s favored mini dresses. It has a halter neckline and I imagine it with an open back and a small velvet ribbon around the collar of the dress cascading down Taylor’s back.
To complete the look I would add some Bulgari High Jewelry Serpenti earrings and a cuff bracelet, a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals, a dark makeup look and bring back Taylor’s bangs with a wispy low bun.
